Radiology includes:

  • X Ray
  • CAT Scan
  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
  • Ultrasound

All these investigations image the anatomical structures of the body in order to assess the physical mass of any tumour within these body parts.

Even the most advanced CAT scanners are only able to identify tumour masses of many milimeters. They cannot identify a significant disseminated tumour unless the cells are aggregated (grouped) to produce a physical mass.
