The Melanoma Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to support world-class research into the causes, detection, treatment and management of melanoma.  Over the past 21 years the Foundation has evolved into the active and effective organisation that it is today, supporting melanoma research and education in a way that would not otherwise be possible.

Since 1984 the Melanoma Foundation has been an integral part of the Sydney Melanoma Unit, assisting with funding for research appointments, expert visitors and travel, and supporting research, education, and publications. In 2003 it was awarded an NGO to establish the NSW Melanoma Network.
