| Stan McCarthy is the senior consultant pathologist in melanocytic pathology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He has been associated with the SMU since it was formed at Sydney Hospital in the 1960s. Stan is an internationally renowned melanoma pathologist who receives over 1000 cases from around the world each year for his opinion. He is also an international speaker, has collaborated extensively with international colleagues and has published numerous articles on melanocytic lesions. He was awarded an officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 1996 for his work on melanoma and cancer pathology. |
